I came to your gig at The Bicton and loved it. If I could travel back in time I'd definitely stow away on the Malarkey. You can shiver my timbers any time!

Having very recently come back from Falmouth after attending the Falmouth Shout for the 3 days and singing myself hoarse, I returned to Brighton singing sea shanties. I went to the local plumbers for some bits. The two blokes in there at the time were discussing a job they were doing and one said to the other: "What colour paint is it going to be, red or blue?" I couldnt help myself and said "Maroon". They both looked at me as though I was mad. I had to explain about the ship with the red paint and the Malarkey with the blue. They didnt understand. Anyway I was happy with the explaination. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and are still singing now. Terrific stuff. Keep it up and we'll see you again sometime soon. Bye Bye, Bye Bye, Bye Bye, Bye Bye - Bye Bye My Roseanna.

You guys are fantastic! I love the way you don't take yourselves too seriously and yet create a seriously classy show. Don't sail away too far or too often!

Thank you. On behalf of the Lympstone Village Hall Management Committee, may I thank the Shantymen for organising your concert in aid of Village Hall funds. This was indeed a memorable evening and we're delighted that you raised £740 in total towards our appeal.

Have a look at this talented and dedicated group of folk singers. They are very good and their prime aim (apart from the enjoyment and booze!) is to raise money for charity. I think they have raised £40,000 plus so far. They also have aspirations of being the best singers of shanties in the UK and they are probably well on their way in this respect.
